Wolves v Tottenham: Wolves stop players gong to supermarkets
To reduce their chance of contracting coronavirus, Wolves have blocked their players from going to the store.
Liverpool and Everton are now the only Premier League clubs that invite fans into their home games as infection rates have risen.
To ensure that games are not delayed too frequently, the Premier League is reverting to twice-a-week testing.
“It is about protecting ourselves,” Nuno Espirito Santo, the boss of Wolves, said.
Since the beginning of the pandemic, our kitchen workers have put together a big box of simple stuff that we need, and everyone has it during the high moment of the pandemic.
When it began to increase, we said, ‘Okay, now you’re free to go and do your shopping.’ Now the levels are rising, and we started doing it again with the latest variety that everyone is concerned about. So the players are not going to the stores with their families.
“It is about guarding ourselves. There are so many people we need to take care of.”
