Barcelona will give club-record acquisition Philippe Coutinho one last opportunity this season.
The Brazilian has been linked with a transfer away from Barcelona due to the club’s massive pay expenditure.
Coutinho has had difficulty at Camp Nou, but manager Ronald Koeman may give him another chance.
Arsenal and Leicester City have both been linked with a bid for the Brazilian. However, with Arsenal poised to sign Martin Odegaard on a permanent contract and Leicester sure to keep James Maddison, there is no reason for the two clubs to sign Coutinho.
Coutinho has not been able to display his quality on the pitch owing to unfortunate injuries, according to Mundo Deportivo, and Koeman wants to get the best out of him.
Philippe Coutinho was under a lot of pressure when he joined Barcelona in 2018, as he was expected to step in for Neymar.
The Brazilian is not a natural left-winger and has failed to meet fan expectations and maintain consistency.

Coutinho made 14 appearances for Barcelona in all competitions before his season-ending injury in December, starting 10 of them.
It’s unclear how much he’ll play under Koeman this season, but it was evident that he and the Dutchman got along well last season.
Coutinho will get a lot of playing time if he stays fit, and he may be able to renew his career at Camp Nou after a dream move from Liverpool.
Coutinho has made 90 appearances since joining the club in 2018. He will be hoping to play a significant role this season as the Blaugrana attempt to win trophies without Lionel Messi.
