Atletico Madrid confirmed that Moussa Dembele, the on-loan French forward of the club tested positive for Coronavirus. The leaders of La Liga added that the 24-year-old is isolated at home in accordance with the protocol of the league.
After fellow forward Joao Felix, winger Yannick Carrascoa and defender Mario Hermoso, he is now the side’s 4th player affected by the Coronavirus in the past week. All 4 players will now miss the home match with Celta Vigo on Monday.
Atletico Madrid has 50 points out of 19 matches and has a 10-point lead at the top of the points table over closest title rivals Barcelona and Real Madrid with a game in hand.
Last month, Moussa Dembele completed a loan switch from French Ligue 1 side Olympique Lyonnais to Atletico Madrid.
