Saint Lucia Kings’ Johnson Charles also had an outstanding season, finishing third in the race with 452 runs from 12 innings. Known for his ability to build solid starts, Charles contributed four half-centuries, with a highest score of 89 runs. His consistency at the top order and his ability to accelerate the innings when needed proved crucial to Saint Lucia Kings. Charles showed why he remains a dangerous batsman in the T20 format, hitting 39 boundaries and 31 sixes in the 2024 CPL.
Faf du Plessis and Shimron Hetmyer: Consistent Contributions
Faf du Plessis and Shimron Hetmyer, representing Saint Lucia Kings and Guyana Amazon Warriors respectively, were other notable performers. Du Plessis scored 405 runs, including four half-centuries, at an average of 36.81. His leadership and ability to anchor the innings made him a cornerstone for his team.
