[IPL]- Yusuf Pathan spoke on Shane Warne’s leadership skills
India’s all-rounder Yusuf Pathan unveiled some fascinating stories from his personal life and cricketing career during a live Instagram session. Pathan greeted former Australia spinner Shane Warne with abundant tribute.

Yusuf Pathan was part of a young and inexperienced Rajasthan Royals under Shane Warne’s leadership, who won the IPL trophy in the opening season. Like several other experts, Pathan pointed out that the on-field presence and leadership skills of Shane Warne played a vital role in the success of the IPL franchise in 2008.
Yusuf Pathan said he has been playing under Shane Warne in IPL for three years, and there’s a lot of precious memories with him. He used to guide us on how to dismiss batsmen well before the game, and we used to implement them, and batsmen used to get out in the same way.
There were many local players in the Rajasthan Royals and very little international stars during that era. Only a captain like him can win the title with a handful of resources.
Yusuf Pathan, however, also said he was sadly unable to play with Warne further than the third edition of the IPL, as he was picked in the draft by Kolkata Knight Riders.
