During the outbreak of Coronavirus, the Indian spinner Ravi Ashwin was recently involved in a live social media session in which he selected MS Dhoni as the most challenging batsman to bowl in the T20 format as well as in death overs. He also raised applause on his ability of submissive batting skills to shift the pace of the game.
The former Indian skipper has gained a reputation for being one of the ball’s most productive hitters in all formats. He’s also ranked as one of the best international cricket finishers, which is no less than a bowler’s nightmare while playing at his top form. The 38-year-old is left with a lot of cricket with him even at the fag end of his career.
Ravi Ashwin says MS Dhoni is one of the best batsmen in the T20
Ravi Ashwin was questioned in a recent interview to choose the best T20 cricket batsman he’s ever come across in his glorious career. Ravi Ashwin said MS Dhoni is the toughest batsman to bowl in the shortest format. According to him, in death overs, he is more dangerous.
“I always rate MS Dhoni as one of the greatest T20 batsmen to bowl to in T20, especially at the end,” Ravi Ashwin said. He spoke a little about the former Indian captain when Ravi Ashwin said MS Dhoni was the best captain for India. He continued that the same goes for IPL’s 38-year-old, who has led CSK in the last ten seasons to three championships.
“MS Dhoni has recognized to be the greatest Nation and Club captains ever seen,” Ashwin added. MS Dhoni had previously played as an off-hand for CSK. And, in 2010 and 2011, he was the member of the squad that managed to win titles back to back. He went on to play for Kings XI Punjab and Rising Pune Supergiant.
Still, he was ready to set to play for Delhi Capitals in IPL 2020, but due to the Coronavirus outbreak, BCCI had to postpone the match for an extended period.
