Hardik Pandya speaks about his ‘Koffee With Karan’ controversy
Dinesh Karthik caught up with Hardik and Krunal Pandya in an Instagram Live session on Saturday, where they spoke on various subjects, from the coronavirus effect to the Indian Premier League (IPL) suspension. Hardik Pandya also opened up during the talk about the controversial episode of ‘Koffee With Karan,’ which led to a suspension by the Cricket Control Board of India (BCCI).
Pandya said, “I drink no coffee, but instead, I drink green tea. I just drank coffee once, and it was too expensive for me. I can guarantee Starbucks wouldn’t get the expensive coffee. I’ve been staying away from coffee ever since.Speaking of the incident, Hardik joked that he now drinks tea instead of coffee. He added that it proved very costly for him to have a Starbucks Coffee.Speaking of the suspension of IPL 2020, Krunal Pandya said the cash-rich league would go ahead, but Karthik, who plays in IPL for Kolkata Knight Riders, took a cheeky dig at the Pandya brothers for their reply.
“The greatest loss for a couple after the BCCI is just for you if the IPL doesn’t happen. There isn’t a single family that will hurt as much as the Pandyas,” said Dinesh Karthik.He also said he’d be okay with the IPL season 13 being played behind closed doors. The season was postponed after the Indian government extended the country’s continuing lockdown to May 3 amid the coronavirus pandemic.
