During their freewheeling conversation on Instagram, Indian vice-captain Rohit Sharma and all-rounder Suresh Raina became selectors as both star cricketers selected a combined Mumbai Indians-Chennai Super Kings who played eleven. Rohit, who has been on a live session spree since the Indian government placed a nationwide lockdown amid the ongoing coronavirus crisis, roped for an interactive session on Tuesday in CSK legend and his India teammate Raina.
Initially, Raina and Rohit selected each other as part of the squad, putting each other at No.3 and 4, respectively, but then took out their names and then played a selector’s role in naming the XI. After the pick, however, Rohit said he would take over the role of batting coach while Raina could be the fielding coach.
The two iconic batters named Sachin Tendulkar and Matthew Hayden were their opening pair as they joined the top-order lineup with Faf du Plessis at No.3. Ambati Rayudu, MS Dhoni, and Kieron Pollard formed the middle-order. They then called as part of their lineup three all-rounders-Dwayne Bravo, Hardik Pandya, and Ravindra Jadeja. And ended with Jasprit Bumrah and Harbhajan Singh on their bowling lineup.

Among the major names they missed is Lasith Malinga, who was recently named by a panel of cricketers on Star Sports as IPL ‘s Greatest of All Time bowler. Malinga had also bowled a vital final over on this very day last year to help Mumbai beat Chennai to secure their fifth trophy.
