[IPL]- Ambati Rayudu chooses his favorite IPL team
Ambati Rayudu is one of the very few players who played both for Mumbai Indians and for Chennai Super Kings – two of the most successful teams in IPL history. The veteran batsman started his IPL career in 2010, with Mumbai Indians.
Over the years, Ambati Rayudu has enjoyed a great run inside the IPL. He was part of the Mumbai Indians’ three title-winning drives, where he spent eight seasons. In 2018 the Chennai Super Kings signed him in. Under MS Dhoni, he blossomed and instantly impressed, scoring 602 runs that season, and helping them with the title for the first time since 2011.
Ambati Rayudu opened up on the discrepancies between the two franchises and picked up his favorite of the two as well. Ambati Rayudu said in a live Instagram session with CSK’s official Instagram handle that there were a lot of different, and he feels more confident at CSK. He added that even after retiring from cricket, CSK would remain his favorite team.
Ambati Rayudu confessed to having more chances of batting at CSK than he had at Mumbai Indians. Ambati Rayudu further said the atmosphere at CSK has been pretty calm, and they have a lot more faith in the abilities of a player, while MI is more of a kind of ‘play-your-role’ structure.
Ambati Rayudu also greeted CSK fans with appreciation. He said CSK fans are emotional about how South Indians are, and added that they have game understanding. He also went on to say that they don’t see such a fan base even in playing for India.
Rayudu’s opinion was similar to that of his current CSK and former Mumbai Indian teammate Harbhajan Singh. They recently said in a live Instagram chat with MI skipper Rohit Sharma that the situation at CSK is always much more comfortable, possibly because there is much less pressure to win there.
