CPL 2020: Trinbago Knight Riders registers 10th consecutive win
Trinbago Knight Riders thumped St Kitts and Nevis Patriots by 9 wickets and got their Caribbean Premier League 2020 10th consecutive victory.
Trinbago Knight Riders were on a roll the day before against St Lucia Zouks and it seemed that they were in no mood to surrender the supremacy they have achieved this season so far.
Not only did Trinbago bundle the opposition for a meagre total of 77, but with almost nine overs to spare, they chased that down.
The Knights were driven by their spinners on a slow track. The Patriots were on the defensive right from the start, despite having the likes of Ewin Lewis and Chris Lynn at the top. They had been reduced to 54 for six in the 12th over. Thanks to Fawad Ahmed who recorded the figures of 4 for 21. Akeal Hosain has chipped in with a few wickets too.
Knights never looked into trouble, in reply. Tion Webster smashed 41 off 33 as Trinbago easily ran away with the game.
Brief score: Trinbago Knight Riders 78 for 1 (Webster 41*) defeat St Kitts and Nevis Patriots 77 (Ramdin 19, Ahmed 4-21, Hosein 2-25) by 9 wickets
