1xBet launches two-factor authentication system to protect customer safety
1xBet placed customer safety at the forefront of its business by introducing a two-factor authentication system to clamp down on unauthorized access to the accounts of its players.
Customers on 1xBet – winners of the Rising Star in Sports Betting Innovation at the December SBC Awards – will now be encouraged to create a single-use code to access the service instead of obtaining access to one login and password.
First, before installing the Google Authenticator app on their phone, the customer must allow two-factor authentication within their account settings. Scanning the QR code, entering the six-digit code and clicking “verify” will then complete the process.
1xBet’s spokesperson told the media that they care about the protection of personal data and they will do their utmost to ensure that the players’ partnership with 1xBet is nothing but a good experience.
For about 81% of hacking-related data breaches arising from weak or stolen passwords (Verizon, 2017), 1xBet’s extra protection layer aims to ensure that the accounts of its customers are safe, both before their first time deposits and during all future transactions.
1xBet will show its two-factor authentication at ICE London (S3-250) and London Affiliate Conference (LAC) exhibitions next month.
