The English Premier League sides Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester City are interested in Inter Milan star Achraf Hakimi.
Hakimi could be leaving in this summer according to Calciomercato, with various top clubs interested in signing the full-back.
Last summer, Hakimi joined Inter Milan from Real Madrid for €40 million and had been one of Inter Milan’s top performers this season.
For Antonio Conte’s side this season, the Morocco international has made 23 appearances in all competitions, scoring six goals. In both full-back positions, he can operate.
During the summer transfer window, Chelsea, who recently sacked Frank Lampard and appointed Thomas Tuchel as the manager, were active.
For £ 45 million, they signed left-back Ben Chilwell from Leicester City, while academy graduate Reece James was at right-back, where international England has so far excelled.
For both Chilwell and James, the possible arrival of Hakimi could provide intense competition and result in the leaving of players like Marcos Alonso and Emerson from Chelsea.
On the other hand, Manchester City wants a left-back. When called upon, Portuguese right-back Joao Cancelo did well, but French left-back Benjamin Mendy struggled to impress.
Manchester City’s Pep Guardiola has Spanish left-back Angelino on loan at RB Leipzig, where he was in fine form. It is, however, unlikely that the Manchester City first XI will return to stake a point.
Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal is also said to be involved apart from Chelsea and Manchester City; in January, the Gunners let go of Sead Kolasinac and Ainsley-Maitland Niles on loan, and both players have unclear futures at the club.
Inter Milan is financially in a challenging situation, but will not sell Hakimi for a cheap deal. Although Chelsea and Manchester City did not shy away from significant expenses, Arsenal was more reserved.
