[IPL]- CSK satirically trolls RCB on Twitter
Since the coronavirus pandemic, the Indian Premier League (IPL), 2020 has been postponed indefinitely, and this has left not only the cricketers but also the cricket fans hugely disappointed.
The IPL franchises do not leave any stone unturned in entertaining their fans and followers. They are organizing their cricketers’ live Instagram sessions, posting their players’ throwback images, sharing old videos, and trolling the other franchises whenever they get a chance.
The entire country is under lockdown until May 17; however, some relaxations were provided by the government in the third step of the lockdown, and one of them is opening liquor shops. Although the liquor was sold in large quantities in Bengaluru, the liquor shops in Chennai did not begin as the number of COVID-19 patients is increasing.
Chennai Super Kings (CSK)’s official Twitter handle took a dig at Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) concerning the liquor sales and related it to their weak IPL record.
CSK tried to troll RCB by saying that there were plenty of talks about the liquor sales rivalry between Chennai and Bengaluru. Still, they’re pretty happy to lose this match even before it began as there are more critical battles ahead of us.
Here is what CSK tweeted:
RCB hasn’t even once been able to win the trophy despite being star-studded and at least one of the IPL’s best teams on paper. The RCB fans were very hopeful that their team would win their first title in the IPL 2020, but the coronavirus pandemic crushed their hopes after the tournament was postponed indefinitely.
The chances of this year’s IPL 2020 being organized are also very less as this year’s T20 World Cup 2020 is scheduled, but nothing can be said with certainty as the BCCI is looking to host the IPL in September before the T20 World Cup.
