Shoaib Akhtar will produce more aggressive fast bowlers when coaching India pacers
Former Pakistan fast bowler Shoaib Akhtar said he’s open to coaching Indian bowlers and feels the game will benefit from this spreading of knowledge. In an interview on Helo’s social networking app, Akhtar made it clear that he has never stepped back from sharing his sports expertise and will be more than happy to teach fast bowlers from India.
One of the fastest bowlers to have played the game, he added, “I’m going to create more aggressive, fast, and talkative bowlers than the current ones who’re going to tell the batsmen that you’re going to enjoy a lot.”
He said he’s always wanted to share his experience with budding cricketers, and he’s looking to make more aggressive bowlers.
Shoaib Akhtar shared his intention to be an Indian Premier League (IPL) coach for his ex-team Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR). Back in 2008, Shoaib Akhtar played in the IPL and his debut match against the Delhi Daredevils (now Delhi Capitals (at the iconic Eden Gardens in Kolkata) created a match-winning performance to win his team.
Not only did he share his wish to coach the bowlers of Team India, but he also became the bowling coach of IPL side Kolkata Knight Riders. Shoaib Akhtar made it clear during the interactive session that if he gets a chance to become a bowling coach in the IPL, then he would like to join the KKR team.
