Because of the COVID-19 pandemic, the whole world has been in halt but Ajinkya Rahane, Delhi Capitals batsman believes the only way forward is to be realistic in our approach. Talking on Wednesday at an Instagram live session with the official franchises handle, the stylish Indian batsman said he would moreover be sharp to play in empty stadiums if it means the fans’ safety and well-being is covered.
Rahane said, “Maintaining positivism and resilience in our daily lives is also important, and I trust that it will definitely help us to move forward.”
“Actually, the players can play in empty stadiums. All of us have played domestic cricket in stadiums which are almost empty, so this is an occurrence that all cricketers are utilized to. Of course without our fans we are nothing, and that is why their protection is most important to us. Even they only can watch the live match at home, I am beyond any doubt that it will be a pleasant encounter as well. Fans’ protection is important and if we have to play in empty stadiums for that, we’re willing to do so. ” he added.Speaking about how he spent time with his wife and daughter during the lockdown, Rahane said he is enjoying bonding with his family. ” We don’t go out and do a lot of activities at home. Besides that, I’m also trying to improve my karate skills, something I have been pursuing as a child. It certainly helps me keep up my alacrity and wellness and I really enjoy it, ” the 31-year-old said.
